Manufactory

As an owner-managed family business, Gellner combines design, pearl expertise, and manufacturing in its own workshop – with a team of around twenty goldsmiths who personally complete each piece of jewelry using traditional methods. This self-sufficiency has become rare and defines Gellner's character: short communication channels, clear decisions, and a deep trust in their own craft.

From the purchase of the rarest cultured pearls to the final implementation, every step remains under our own responsibility – independent, precise and carried by the pride of a true manufactory.

Gellner Design

The workshop produces jewelry pieces that combine design and craftsmanship at the highest level. Jörg Gellner is personally involved in the design process – from the initial idea to the final form. Many designs mature over years, guided by a keen sense of proportion, material, and movement.

Short distances, direct decisions and the close connection between design and manufacturing enable creations that do not follow trends, but set their own impulses – and yet remain unmistakably Gellner.

Gellner DNA

The history of the Gellner jewelry manufactory is inextricably linked to a fascination with cultured pearls. Founded in 1967 by Heinz and Tove Gellner, the family business is now run by Jörg Gellner in its second generation – driven by the passion to find the rarest and most beautiful Gellner pearls worldwide and to showcase their unique character.

“The Spirit of Pearls” does not describe a classic philosophy, but rather an attitude: a fine sense for proportion, material and origin – and the decision whether a design accompanies the pearl or whether its natural presence speaks for itself.

This attitude shapes every creation – from simple necklaces to innovative pieces of jewelry with the unmistakable Gellner signature.
